DENG Lab
Pursuing the Art and Science of Droplets
About DENG Lab
DENG Lab is a research group focusing on the art and science of small droplets of complex fluids. We are interested in droplets from 100nm to 10 micrometers in diameter. The fluids are polymer solutions or dense suspensions, which form unique "inks" for subsequent printing and spray depositon. We study fluid dynamic instabilities for high quality droplet generation and inhomogeneous particle/film formation. The target applications include polymer solar cells, ultra-high temperature ceramic sensors, and new dosage form for enhancing bioavailability of drug compounds with poor water solubility.
